Aluminox Equips GRANDE SVEZIA: A Step Towards Sustainable Maritime Transport

We are proud to announce our contribution to the Grimaldi Group's new vessel, the GRANDE SVEZIA. As a supplier for this advanced Pure Car & Truck Carrier (PCTC), we provided the high-quality galley equipment on board, supporting the vessel's innovative design and sustainable operations.

The GRANDE SVEZIA, the second in a series of ten next-generation ships, marks a significant advancement in environmentally conscious maritime transport. Measuring 220 meters in length and 38 meters in width, with a capacity for up to 9,000 Car Equivalent Units, this vessel is designed to transport both electric and combustion engine vehicles.

Key green technologies include its "Ammonia Ready" designation for future carbon-free fuel conversion, a 5 MWh lithium battery system for zero emissions during port calls, and cold ironing capability. It also features 2,500 square meters of solar panels, silicone-based hull coatings, and advanced exhaust gas treatment systems, resulting in up to 50% lower fuel consumption compared to previous car carriers.
