STENA CONNECTA arrives in Belfast

As the second "New Max" freight vessel to join the Belfast-Heysham route, the ship joins her sister ship, STENA FUTURA, to deliver a massive 40% increase in freight capacity.

This isn't just about moving more goods; it’s about moving them smarter. The STENA CONNECTA is a marvel of modern maritime engineering, featuring:

🌱 Hybrid Power: Multi-hybrid propulsion using battery, biofuel, and methanol. 💨 Wind-Assisted: Two 28m Norsepower Rotor Sails™ expected to deliver up to 9% fuel savings. 📈 Economic Growth: Following a record-breaking year with 113,000 units shipped in 2025.

With a combined £100m investment, Stena Line is doubling down on its commitment to the UK-Ireland trade corridor and our goal of reducing CO2 emissions by 30% by 2030.
